Recent Comfort Suites Tampa Review: "This hotel is brand new. My husband and I took our niece and nephew to Tampa for Busch Gardens (10-15 minute drive), and we wanted a nice hotel at a good price. I recently stayed in the Marriott and Ritz Carlton in Orlando, as well as the Starwood on Singer Island (all five star hotels), and I would consider this hotel a four star. I was worried about the lack of ratings, but realized why immediately - when we pulled up, there was a giant "grand opening" hot air balloon outside. We got to our first room, and there was no thermostat in the wall (it had not yet been installed). The front desk clerk was very sweet and immediately put us in a different room. The complimentary breakfast included eggs, sausages, Belgian waffles, assorted cereals, toast, bagels, yogurt, fruit cups, coffee and juice. The pool and hot tub were nice, too. The only negative thing I can say about this hotel is that the surrounding area is not too great (which is not uncommon in Tampa). We felt safe parking our car in the parking lot (it seems to be an industrial area), but we went to the Wal-Mart about two miles away on Dale Mabry, and did not feel safe at all. However, we highly recommend Giordano's, which is a Chicago deep-dish pizza place that only has three locations in Florida."
