Recent Embassy Westshore Review: "We showed up at the hotel to stay for 2 nights before going on a cruise out of Tampa. First I would like to say thanks to the hotel for arranging transportation to the pier for all 6 of us. Also the room, hotel and pool were great. I have no complaints about the hotel itself. The only downside to the hotel is there is a lot of construction going on in the surrounding areas and very few places to eat. Which makes it a little hard to walk anywhere to get something to eat or do. There is a mall across the street but it doesn't have much in the way of family restaurants to take 16 year old kids to. So don't expect much within walking distance of the hotel. But it is definitely worth staying at as long as you don't mind using the shuttle or taking a taxi to any attractions. Overall stay here if you want a great room and a clean hotel and fast pickup from the airport."

| I was on a business trip and brought along my mother and baby (since I am currently breast-feeding). The hotel was extremely accomodating and comfortable for me and my mini entourage. The mall across the street and down the street kept my mother happy during the day while I was away at work & conferences. Housekeeping was helpful and the room was extremely comfortable & clean. I will definitely return! |

| My feelings about this specific ES are quite mixed. I stay at an ES several times a year. This one is unique.
First, the rooms are massive. The property was intended to be condos. You could literally fit 10 people (somewhat comfortably) with air mattresses or sleeping bags. Showers would be another story. The interiors are quite ugly and mismatched and the beds are average. Nice flat panel TVs (one in living area and one in bedroom). Bathroom is average. The tub/toilet/vanity area are combined. This lessens the convenience slightly--if more than one person is staying in the room.
The free breakfast and "managers receptions" are much better than most ES. The breakfast has the standard "custom omelet" station but also waffles, really good coffee, biscuits and gravy, and much more that most ES don't have. On to the manager's reception--kickin! They have some premium labels and if you smile a little they'll give you a double - and it's free.
Fairly standard staff. We asked for some non-feather pillows. It took more than 30 minutes. We called and the front desk acted slightly offended informing us that "we only have one housekeeper and we're doing our best".
Big points off for parking that costs $7 a day. WHAT? And then Internet - $12.95 per 24-hours. I can't believe in this day and age wireless costs that much. Also, Tampa has plenty of space - why the cost for parking? It's not San Fran or DC.
When I role all of this together and look at the rates compared to similar properties, this one is not worth the money. |

| Room was worn but clean. Breakfast was as good as it gets for free. The parking garage was not convenient and costs $7.00 to park onsite. |

| The first thing thats wrong with this place is the parking. 7 bucks a night is absolutely ridiculous ESPECIALLY for a garage with no elevators! The second thing is the fee for using the internet. Its 2009 people! Since when are we charging for wireless internet access anymore? And 12 bucks a day?!?! Its absolutely insane. I can see if this hotel room was actually cheap, then all the fees would be understood, but it was actually more expensive than most of the surrounding hotels. We were supposed to stay for three nights and ended up checking out the next day. |

| Great Hotel, very clean and top quality service. Shuttle to airport and very friendly and helpful front desk staff. The service staff was quite friendly too, and efficient. The one drawback is that there are no in room safes. |

| Upon arriving, it was a busy lobby, with a line of 3-4 people ahead. We had to wait a while, with only one person working at the front desk. After that, though, things went well. The room was nice but looked old. It was also a different floorplan than other Embassy Suites I've been to. The made-to-order breakfast was great. |
