Recent Hampton Tampa Brandon Review: "I stayed at the hotel for 3 days and 2 nights. My fiance' and his parents' room was ready, but mine wasn't. I didn't get upset since we arrived about 7 hrs before checkin time but it only took them 30 mins to get my King room ready. The staff was very very friendly and greeted you everytime you walked by. The bathroom was huge and had an excellent shower.  I had plenty of towels and it was very clean. Housekeeping came everyday unlike some hotels where they either don't come the whole time you're there or you have to call. The pillows were too soft but that is my only complaint. Breakfast was good and worth the money."

Brandon is a residential suburb that lies east of downtown. Nearby, blue-ribbon agriculture is on display annually at the Florida State Fairgrounds. South of Brandon in Apollo Beach, manatees flock by a waterside power plant when the water temperature cools. The aquatic mammals are best seen at Tampa Electric’s Manatee Viewing Center, which is also a haven for butterflies and birds.
