Recent Howard Johnson Near Hard Review: "This is a Howard Johnsons in the middle of an industrial area in close proximity to Ybor City. This is not the Four Seasons...if that is what you are looking for, this is the wrong place for you. The entire facility was exceptionally clean. The bedrooms were well appointed with new linens and attractive comforters. There was a mini-frige, microwave, and coffee maker in the room, as well as a blow dryer, ironing board and iron. We did not use the pool, however the pool area, as well as all of the landscaping, was well maintained. There are tables and chairs and lounges surrounding the pool, all clean and in good repair. A small breakfast is provided. Coffee, teal milk, juices, toast. croissants, cold cereal, instant oatmeal and hot water, fresh fruit, and make them yourself waffles utilizing a professional waffle maker. Not a gourmet breakfast, but adequate if you are on the go and certainly a welcome addition for a motel that is budget priced. All in all, a surprisingly satisfying experience. I definitely would return if I have business in Tampa."
