Recent Howard Johnson Review: "We chose this hotel because it was so close to the St. Pete Times-Forum, where we saw Metallica. The price was great and it provided all the necessities. We especially appreciated the shuttle service, which took us to a couple of nearby spots so we didn't have to worry about driving directions.
No, it's not a 4-star resort, but it was clean and the staff was friendly & helpful. We would definitely stay here again."

| The howard johnson on Dale Mabry is much nicer and you do not have ot pay for parking. We moved to this howard johnson because it was closer to the convention we went too. It is over priced for what they offer and the incedentals will kill you. The food in the resturant was good but over priced. The room steward was super nice and did a great job! It is a clean room for an older hotel. The lobby and common areas are clean and do not smell. Room price was ok but all of the extra charges are rediculous for a hotel that old. The bed that we slept in was comfortable, but the one by the bathroom was not. It was lumpy so out of 2 queen beds only one was sleepable. the a/c worked. the tv remote didn't work, but the tv did. |

| The front desk could not offer any assist with eaterys in the area. The doors in our room needed some mainteneance done to them. The overall stay here was great for the price and its a quiet area easy to find. I recommend HJ any day and will stay again. |

| The lobby is gorgeous and the staff is helpful, however the room was tiny, in the farthest corner on the last floor, and there was barely space for our luggage let alone us to move around comfortably. Considering we only paid 60 a night it wasnt terrible. The room was clean and the location was ok. Directions weren't wonderful however as there is no turn to get to the hotel from Ashley and we ended up on the highway. |

| I stayed here while I was in town for the Florida Bar exam and I was so pleasantly surprised! The hotel is very classy and in a great location. The rate was extremely low, at a time when most other hotels were gouging the other 4,000 test takers because they knew they could! And the hotel even provided us with an early breakfast at an extremely low price to accommodate our early, highly stressed mornings. I am so grateful for this hotel for making my test experience that much easier by taking such good care of the details of my stay. Truly, truly appreciated!!! |

| I came to this hotel to take the Florida Bar. The distance between the hotel and the Tampa convention center is a little less than a mile. The hotel provides a shuttle every 15 minutes which will drop you off during your exam days. Checking in was a bit of a hassle. The hotel was not ready due to the fact that they had been booked solid over the weekend. In the hotel business, when that happens all the rooms need to be cleaned. Although check in time was 3:00 pm, I arrived at 2:15, but my room was not ready until almost 5:20. The manager seemed to be getting a lot of complaints from other people, but he was doing his best. I really was not in a rush to check in, but once I did he made sure my stay was great. It was just one of those things that happens, once in a while. I had previously stayed here for leisure purposes and check in was quick. The rooms are spacious and great for sleeping and studying. Even though the hotel was full, I did not have any problems with noise complaints or such. There is also a $8 fee to park per day, which most people don't realize until they get there, so heads up. |

| Hotel is 1 mi from the Convention Center. Got my daily 2 mi walk that way.

| I choose this hotel for its proximity to the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center. We were across the street from the TBPAC and it was very convenient to get to, right off the interstate. The room was small but clean. The bed was comfortable and the water pressure was good. The TV could have been newer and I would like to be able to close the heavy curtains to block out the light but other than that it was a nice palce to stay. |

| This hotel is nothing fancy but the rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable and the AC works great. Their shuttle will take you anywhere you want to go and pick you up anywhere within a 3 mile raduis. |
