Recent Quality Near Fairgrounds Ybor Review: "Actually everything far exceeded my expectations. I was only staying in Tampa for one night on my way to Fort Myers, I needed a economical hotel close to Ybor City, I was hoping for a clean, comfortable room to spend the night in. What I got was an exceptionally clean, well maintained room with all the comforts of a much high priced hotel. Upon entering  the lobby, it was freshly cleaned and the new tile sparkled. There was a new computer and printer in the lobby for guest use. The staff was friendly and informative at check in and check out. There was a large flat panel tv in my room, new granite panels in the shower, plenty of towels, a soft bed and a great view of the pool, which was very clean and inviting. the ac was cold despite the summer heatwave. I would definitely recommend this hotel for families, travelers, business travelers or vacationers. I will be staying here again upon returning to Tampa. The hotel is very close to Ybor City without the downtown pricetag. My only comment is it is off the access road from I-75, so it's a little tough to find the entrance until you know what you are looking for. After that it's a piece of cake. One of the staff informed us that the city of Tampa has actually been granting homeowners in the area credits to improve the neighborhood and bolster the neighborhood. The surrounding area is a bit old and run down since the cigar industry shut down in Ybor City."
