Recent La Quinta Inn Review: "I wrote this on the back of the "how did we do" thing you hang on your door when you leave.
We are just 2 girls that live in the middle of no where.When we come to stay somewhere at a place we dont want a run down hunk of junk. we like to treat ourselves. There was a couple of things like the pool had a couple of leaves in it and the paper movie guide was from last month. But we really didnt care about that. It was little things and it didnt make us wish we didnt go there.but the next guest might not have been so leaniant that is why we told you. we had a great time the service the room everything was perfect. When we got hungry we walked out the door and right behind us was an arbys. i would recommend it to friends and deffenatley stay there again. i still cant get over the fact that i didnt even know how to get in my bed the sheets were tucked so tight..i love that kind of stuff.seemed like people actually liked there jobs. Thank you for everything. we will see you soon!"

| My party experienced several problems. 1 door key didn't work, 2 Ice machine didn't work, 3 room phone didn't work, 4 Not enough towels for party of 3. These problems were addressed with the staff and though 2 & 3 were not immediately corrected, response from management was favorable. |

| The staff was wonderful and very pleasant. They quickly fulfilled all my requests. The hotel location could not be better. The room was nice sized, comfortable and very clean except for our room carpet was stained and the door had a large gap at the bottom so bugs and misquito's got into the room easily. We put a towel down at the door to help and the breezeway area by the stairs smelled of urine however the staff cleaned it promptly upon my notifying them. |

| I chose la Quinta because it is close to Busch Gardens, the breakfast is free, and it is located only at 15 minutes to Downtown Tampa where I had to attend a ceremony. Some hotels charge $10 for parking, they don't. The staff is very nice and helpful. It was very hot outside, but the room was confortable. The A/C was working perfectly. The room was clean and contain a fridge, coffee maker and a microwave, with everything else we see in the more expensive hotels. My kids enjoy the pool until 11:00 PM. The breakfast was very tasty, it wasn't only waffles but also apple, orange, eggs, yogurt, muffins and juice. The reservation was for 4, they did not charge me for the extra person when my husband decided to join us in the last day. At night, a security officer is there. Also, there is a police station close to the hotel. Even though they don't have a restaurant on site, there is a lot of dining options in the neighborhood. My only concern was the fact that the AC was leaking water in the corridor in front of the rooms. It wasn't that bad, but they need to do something about it. For the price that I pay, I can't complain. I was a really great deal. I will definitively stay there whenever I go back to Tampa. |

| This was our second stay in six months. Read review before first time stay. Some concerns about the neighborhood until we past the Police station a block from the La Quinta driveway. Eases the mind some knowing.
First visit a bit noisy from other guests running in the late hour (March 2010). Second stay much more quiet (June 2010). Both times, rooms were clean and organized as expected. However, a slight musty odor of cigarette smoke. Recommend some "yankee candles" or Febreez during stay.
All-in-all, I would stay again --which I have. |

| Hotel was at a great location, across from Busch Gardens. The room was a bit small and the bathroom was super small. If you stay, don't get a room near the pool, it opens at 10:00 AM and closes at 11:00 PM. The best rooms are at the rear of the Hotel, third level, which in the rear is the second level. Nice and quiet, and additional parking spots. Enjoy. |

| The air conditioning unit was broken. Was unable to be adjusted at all. The toilet lid in the bathroom was not the right size or shape for that toilet. Breakfast was just okay. Close to Busch gardens but I still recommend driving. I walked it and it is over a mile to entrance. |

| The La Quinta Inn is really close to Busch Gardens (& Water Park). While they serve a free breakfast, the quality could improve. We ate at the IHOP across the street instead -- after choosing this hotel for their breakfast aspect.
La Quinta Inn's location is its selling point. However, be warned that the neighborhood around Busch Gardens (and extending for many blocks!) is pretty much run down and a little scary. Saving Grace--there's a police station right past La Quinta's entrance!
Overall, La Quinta Inn Tampa is a nice, clean hotel with friendly staff at a good price, but don’t base your stay on their breakfast menu/set-up. While they are located close to Busch Gardens, they are also located in a not-so-nice section of Tampa. However, there is a police station close by.
Conclusion: I probably wouldn't stay there again due to the surrounding area -- regardless of the police station.
Side Note: We will not return to Busch Gardens due to the lack of rides open, maintenance problems, etc. Compared to the Orlando Area & attractions, Busch Gardens was a waste of time. Make the trip to Orlando instead. |

| The hotel was conveniently located right by Bush Garden so that was a plus. Alot of fast food restaurants and sit in restaurants around the area. The rooms were clean. If you're looking for an economical place just to crash in, this is it. The only downfall was breakfast since it was very limited to waffles and bagels mostly. The quality was at all not the best. Overall, the hotel was pretty decent for their price. |
